dental ministry is an answer to prayer

In 2013, the administration of Jardin de Gracia had been praying for a dentist to visit our school that had the vision to provide dental care for our students. In our experience, a healthy student is a happy student, and much of our overall health is tied to dental care. That spring, Dr. Phil Brown from South Shore, KY came to Honduras on a work ministry team. The rest, as they say, is history! God has done amazing things through the hands of Dr, Brown and the volunteers who come with him.

It has been a lengthy process that has included several trips by various dental teams, but every one of our students now have a dental treatment plan that rivals any practice in the United States! Our goal is to see each student every six months, during which cleanings, X-rays, fillings, and at times, surgical procedures take place.
The teaching staff and administration also have access to treatment once all of the children have been addressed. And, the dental ministry doesn't stop at the fence-line of the school! Many residents in the surrounding community  have been treated as well.
